The Jupiters 2015

The upcoming year would be delightful to the Jupiter Aerobatic Team since it has replaced some of its pilots. The changeable of current Indonesian Airforce aerobatic team members is common as the pilots enter and leave the unit anually for promotion procces. Some pilots are going back to their previous squadron and some others go for studying. The new members bring new and different environtment to the team. For 2015 season, The Jupiters is still led by Ltcl Feri Yunaldi as Jupiter One. Ltcl Feri has already been leading this squadron for almost two years. He has shown an excellent performance during his tenure. Some awesome displays were succesfully conducted in the past two years including two international exhibitions, Singapore Air Show and BRIDEX. Next year in March The Jupiter is scheduled to perform at LIMA 2015 in Langkawi, Malaysia.
jupiter 2 is replaced by Captain Idham "Godham" Satria. The previous pilot, Captain Riphdo "Mohawk" went back to his previous squadron as a fighter pilot at 12th Squadron in Pakanbaru. Captain Godham also was originally Hawk pilot from 12th Squadron as well. He is now following his senior as Jupiter two.
Captain Made Yogi "Raider" was chosen to replace the previous Jupiter Three, Captain Apri "Cheetah" who is now coming back to 14th Squadron as a flight commander. He is going to fly F-5 Tiger or hopefully Sukhoi 35. Captain Raider was 12th Squadron pilot who flew British Hawk for almost 1000 flying hours.
Acting as Jupiter 4 is Major Putu "Colibri" Sucahyadi. Major Colibri is the first chopper pilot who fly as Jupiter Aerobatic Team member. This experienced instructor has thousands teaching hours at Indonesian Air force flying school. Before teaching at Indonesian Air force Flying School, he was serving as chopper pilot at 7th squadron for almost 8 years.
Jupiter 5 is still hold by Major Sri "Martin" Raharjo. The pilot who is originally coming from central Java of Sragen already in team for more than three years and he is expected to be the next The Jupiters's leader.
Jupiter 6 now is flown by Major Romas 'Condor" who previously flew as jupiter 3 and 4. He replaced Major Macell "Liger" who is currently studying at China Air Command and Staff College in Beijing.
Under the supervision of our new Air force base commander, AFM Yadi "Goshawk" I. Sutanandika who was one of the initiator of The Jupiters, we hope The Jupiters can do better performance in the upcoming years. Other than as an initiator, AFM Yadi also was member of previous Indonesian Air force aerobatic team, The Jupiter Blue as slot position using British Hawk. 2015 would be tough but interesting. It would be some domestic displays and some international events, so don't miss it.
